The Integration of Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram Messaging

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerburg announced recently plans to integrate Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram messaging capacities. This change will allow end to end user messages to be encrypted and enable them to communicate cross-platform between apps. Along with these three platforms, the underlying message infrastructure will continue to operate as independent apps.

The combined users of all three apps are brought together for 2,6 billion–giving Facebook more influence on user communication than ever before. Other competing messaging services such as Apple and Google will probably give Facebook a competing edge with a hyperlink. This advantage could lead to more time spent on Facebook-owned applications, which allow Facebook to recover popularity both from a user and from a publicity point of view after two years of scandal.

As many of us know, in recent years, Facebook has been the center of several controversies. Election interference, exposure of user data and data collection concerns all have damaged the reputation of the company. When integration was announced, many people immediately addressed the first question of safety.

Zuckerberg stated that they are working on adding end-to-end encryption to each of the services, which means that private messages can only be viewed by conversation participants. Enhanced encryption will help Facebook protect user data better, which is likely to help build trust among users who have been concerned about data privacy in the past.

Although the content of the actual message is safeguarded, there are still concerns about how these apps share data. For example, users of Facebook usually include personal data such as their full name, workplace, hometown or relationship status not included in WhatsApp and Instagram profiles.

While it is not clear how much data (or how much) will be shared between platforms, these profiles may now be more publicly linked than once with your Facebook accounts. For anyone who wants to keep the apps separate, this is a major focus.

Although this integration raises user concerns, it could offer marketers more opportunities to reach people across platforms more effectively. Mark Zuckerburg has said that it has no clear plan to monetize integration yet, but Facebook can be expected to build a better ad income from that change.

Facebook currently allows advertisers to display ads on Facebook Messenger, but not WhatsApp or Instagram. It is uncertain whether the integration feature of Messenger ads will continue, but we can expect that it will be implemented on all three platforms if it does.

The addition of this feature to Facebook will be a big win because Instagram and WhatsApp generate almost no more ad income than Facebook. In addition, we see increased engagement with these Messages-specific features with more users choosing the Messaging Platform as their primary communication source.

In this case, marketers can reach users without a Facebook account on Instagram or WhatsApp. Although data sharing between apps is a backlash source, marketers will likely benefit, because it provides a more holistic view of the user based on their behavior, improving ad-targeting capability.

Last but not least, although at the moment we do not have all the answers about the integration functionality or the ad opportunities it offers-Facebook knows that everybody watches. Based on its past controversies, we can assume that Facebook knows that it needs to do so successfully and to regain confidence from its foundation.

This is going to be quite a task on the technical side of the participating teams, but probably a huge payoff. If successful, we can examine the new communications hub that’s favored by users— as at least one profile is created by everyone— and it supports targeted marketers ‘ ads. If you’ve taken a couple of weeks off the exercise and then completed an exhausting workout, you may know what I’m going to say.

The first workout back from a long break can be tough, but the dolor that follows a few days later is usually really brutal. For example, if you do a squat workout after a couple of weeks off, it can hurt to sit on a chair or climb the stairs later in the week.

One of the fastest ways to solve this pain is very counterintuitive: Squat again.

That makes little sense on the surface. But there’s something deeper going on here, as you might expect. The Repeated Bout Effect is called and applies to much more than just exercise.

The effect of repeated bouts in your life

The repeated bout effect tells us that the more we do, the less it affects us. There are many ways to think throughout life about this effect.

  1. On your first day of business, making ten sales calls can lead to a big jump in overall revenue. However, making ten sales calls in a row for the 300th day is unlikely to have a significant impact on total revenue.
  2. You’ll lose weight when you start eating smaller portions. However, your smaller portion slowly becomes your normal portion and weight loss stalls after the first ten or fifteen pounds fall off.
  3. If you haven’t done a lot of strength training, you’ll be stronger with 30 pushups. However, after a couple of months, an extra 30 pushups doesn’t really build new muscle.

These examples make sense when you see them nicely lined up in an article, but we often curse ourselves for lack of progress in the real world.

Let’s say you want to lose weight and you didn’t work out before. You start running twice a week and you’ve lost 10 pounds very soon. The repeated bout effect starts at some point, your body adapts and weight loss slows down. Suddenly, you still run twice a week, but the scale doesn’t move anymore.

It can be very easy to interpret these decreasing results as some sort of failure.

  • “Oh, every week I work out and nothing happens.”

Except that it worked. Your initial exercise actually worked just as it was supposed to because it yielded a new result and your body adapted and improved. Your body now has a new starting point and if you want to achieve a higher level of success, you need to add something new to the mix.

The repeated effect of the bout can teach us three improvements lessons.

  • First, a small amount of work is a great way to reduce the pain of hard sessions. Imagine Monday’s easy1-minute pushup workout and Friday’s hard 10-minute pushup. The repeated bout effect says your soreness will be reduced after Friday’s workout just because you did an easy session earlier in the week. It can make a difference to work easily.
  • Secondly, the amount of work you need to do to achieve your maximum output level is higher than what you do now. If you don’t perform 100% of your potential already, you have room to grow. And the repeated bout effect tells us you’ve probably adapted to all of your life’s normal stimuli. If you want to achieve a new level of success, a new level of work must be put in place. This doesn’t mean you should start doing as much work as possible, but it means you can’t expect a small change to work forever when you start small. You have to graduate continuously to the next level.
  • Third, for long – term success, deliberate practice is critical. It is a strange form of laziness to do the same type of work again and again. You ca n’t go to the gym, run three miles a week and expect to enjoy constantly improving results. You’ve seen all the results that three – mile runs can deliver after a couple of months of repetitive workouts and your body has adapted to this stimulus. For this reason, it is important for long – term improvement to deliberately practice new skills that you can master in one to three practice sessions. Making deliberate practice a habit can help you to avoid practicing things that are no longer beneficial.

The key is that things will work for a while and then we’ll get used to them.

How can Healthy Habits Achieve Your Goals

We all faced the deception and guilt that comes after several weeks from setting and abandoning a goal. Sustainability for a long – term objective is difficult to achieve but normally only in a few months or even years can the best aims be achieved.

This is the solution: instead, focus on creating a new habit that leads to your objective.

Would you like to run a marathon? Make it a habit to go every day first. Would you like to get out of the debt and save? Creates the habit of making brown bags to work, or watching DVDs rather than going to movies, or any change will save you money.

In concentrating not on what you need to achieve over the next year, but on what you do every day, you concentrate on something that you can achieve. This little change every day will bring enormous changes over time… and you will be surprised at the extent to which you have come in no time. Over time, small sand grains can add up to the mountain.

I have used the philosophy of change of custom to run a marathon, change my diet, lose weight, write a novel, stop smoking, be organized and productive, double my revenue, cut my debt, save myself and begin this year’s practice for the Olympic Triathlon. It works when you concentrate on changing habits.

Now it’s not easy to change your habits — I won’t lie to you — but it’s feasible, above all if you start small. With your first habit change don’t try to change the world … take baby steps. At the end of the year, I was able to run more than 20 miles. I just tried to ride a mile.

How are your habits changed? Concentrate on one habit at a time and take these steps:

  1. Changes are positive. If you try to change your negative habits (quit smoking), replace it with a positive habits (for example, running to relieve stress).
  2. Take a challenge of 30 days. Tell yourself that you will be making this custom for 30 straight days, without fail, every day at the same time. Once that 30-day mark has passed, your habit will be easier. Do not beat yourself if you fail. If you fail. Start a new challenge for 30 days. Practice until successful. Until success.
  3. Commit yourself totally. Don’t simply say that you could or ought to do that to yourself. Tell the world this is going to be DEFINITY. Sit in this one hundred percent. Tell everyone you know. Tell everyone you know. Just email them. Email them. Put it on your blog! Put it on your blog. Post it to your place of business and home. This positive pressure from the public will motivate you.
  4. Set up rewards. It is best to recompense yourself often during the first week and then recompense yourself for the first month every week. Make sure that these are good rewards, which will help to keep you on track.
  5. Take your time to beat. It is best to start by monitoring your pressures so that you are more aware of them. Track them for a few days, and every time you get urged to put a tally mark in a small notebook. Specify a plan with strategies to beat them before you get the urges. We all need to stop –how are you going to overcome it? Deep breathing and drinking water are of greatest assistance to me. You can get a urge— it’s going to happen.
  6. Follow your progress and report it. Hold a log, journal or diagram so that your progress can be seen over time. For my marathon training, I used a running log and stopped smoking when I quit. Seeing how far you have come is motivating. Also, it will motivate you if you can join an online group and report on your advances every day, or if you can email family and friends about your progress.

Most importantly, stay positive at all times. I’m used to monitoring my thoughts and I would squash them like a little bug and replace them with positive thinking if I saw any negative thoughts (“I want to stop!”). I would replace them with positive thoughts. It works incredibly well. That’s the best tip of all time. You will definitely fail if you think negative thoughts. But you will certainly succeed if you think you are always positive.
