How to Endure Negativity from Anyone

Negative behavior can be quite a downer. Once upon a time, I had a colleague with daily adverse energy. In our discussions she would never cease to complain about everything she could think about–job, family, friends, health. She also was highly cynical of others, often doubting and severely judging their intentions. To say the least, to talk to her was not an enjoyable experience.

I felt totally drained the first time we had a conference. Even if we were speaking for only 30 minutes, after our discussion I hardly had any power remaining. It felt like someone literally sucked my life away and it took me a few hours to wear off the impacts. The next few times we talked about the same thing. I soon found out that I had to develop an action plan to tackle this type of adverse energy. After all, in my life she wasn’t going to be the only adverse guy I met.

I created a number of important strategies to deal efficiently with adverse individuals. They worked wonderful things in my own lives and Marc and myself are using them to help hundreds of weekly coaching and course students. I hope that in them, too, you will discover value …

1. Set boundaries and apply them.

It is difficult to cope with individuals who are adverse and fail to concentrate on alternatives. You want individuals to join your pampered group 24/7 so you can feel more comfortable. And it may be because you do not wish to be regarded as insane or rude that you feel forced to listen to their complaints, but it is a fine line between listening and getting drawn into the adverse emotional drama.

By setting boundaries and distancing yourself where necessary, you can prevent this tragedy. Please think this: would you like to sit next to them all day inhaling the second-hand smoke, if a adverse individual were cigarettes smokers? No, you wouldn’t–you wouldn’t get away. So go ahead and take a breath when you have to.

Another excellent way to establish limitations is to ask a adverse individual how they are trying to resolve the issue that they complain of when distancing themselves in the short run. They will often either rest or redirect the discussion, at least momentarily, in a more harmonious direction.

2. Do not just respond – be mindful of the situation

A response is a warm, thoughtless emotional explosion in the minute that is generally driven by your ego (as human beings, when we are unconnected to our logical mind), we are most likely to respond. It could only take a split second before your intuition starts, offering you some outlook, or it could take over to the extent you act on it. If after coping with a person you feel upset or flush

In short, you don’t react by throwing insults at anyone with a adverse attitude. Maintain your dignity and don’t fall to their levels. True power is courageous enough for your head to wander away from the senselessness.

3. Choose a positive topic

The adverse approaches of some people are driven by certain apparently harmless subjects. For instance, when we speak about his work, one of my colleagues becomes a highly toxic self-victimizer. Regardless of what I say, she is going to complain of everything about her work and when I attempt to intercept favorable remarks, she rolls with more negativity right over them. This obviously becomes quite a damping discussion.

If the individual you speak to is stuck in a subject which brings you down, you may be aware of their adverse feelings too profoundly rooted to tackle in an unanimous discussion. If you are in a comparable discussion. Your best bet is to bring a fresh subject to the mood. Simple things like funny memories, friendships, private stories of achievement and other sorts of things

4. Provide positive resolutions and avoid discussing negative issues.

Where and how your attention is focused determines your mental state. You generate and prolong negatives and stress when you zero in on the challenges you are facing. You generate a feeling of self-efficency that produces beneficial feelings and decreases stress by shifting your focus on actions that can enhance your conditions.

The same precise rule applies to adverse individuals–it only intensificates your pain to determine how stressful and hard they are by empowering them. Stop thinking about how troubled this individual is, and instead concentrate on how you will deal positively with their behaviour. This makes your driver’s seat more efficient and more efficient.

5. Keep an emotional separation from the views of others.

To keep stress at distance, maintaining a degree of emotional separation is essential. It is essential for your emotional health and happiness that negative people (or anyone else in this regard) do not put the weight of their insufficiency on your back. It all depends on your appreciation and therefore your faith in yourself.

People who efficiently handle their life are usually people who operate inside–i.e. people who understand that achievement and goodness come from inside (interior control locus). Negative people usually work externally, i.e. blame for anything that happens or doesn’t (internal control locus).

If the views of others are based on your sense of satisfaction and self-worth, you are no longer in control of your happiness. Know that. Know that. When individuals are emotionally powerful, they do not take away the inappropriate views or spiteful comments of anyone. They feel great about something they have accomplished.

Truth be told, you’re never as good as everyone says when you win, and you’re never as terrible as they tell you when you lose.  The important thing is what you’ve learned, and what you’re doing with it.

We cannot control everyone’s emotions but we can change the situation on how we respond. Have you also experienced this kind of situations? Leave a comment below and share us your experience.

5 Trends in 2019 on Social Media

Facebook Application Icon

The days are now gone when companies can treat social networks as a background or an additional marketing channel. Social media platforms today provide a company with an opportunity to show its value and to strengthen its voice consistently. Social networking is the perfect platform for customers to ask questions, give certificates and make air complaints. No company may ignore the importance of its presence in social media because it affects how people perceive its brand.

So what can you do to promote the success of your brand in 2019 via social media?

1. Personal branding is increasingly important for business branding

Setting a real human face to a brand name helps to build loyalty, especially in small businesses. A brand that is more related and has the human aspect naturally gains more trust, and trust is crucial to establishing relationships.

One way to humanize a brand is to encourage a company owner’s personal brand or a senior manager. This tactic has been used by many institutions through guest blogging, podcast, webinars and other publicity activities. This has become a key feature of many organisations. By helping your audiences learn about the character and expertise of company leadership, a company can build its reputation for its brand.

2. Long-form content to impact SEO

Word counts are not only the prominent impact of an article on the search engine results pages. However, SEO experts are in agreement that long-form content can provide an edge for you.

Although a high quality article with 1,600 words probably outranks an article with 500 words of a high-quality value, Google does not penalize blog posts if it fails to attain a certain amount of word count threshold. This is why I believe we see more publishers who require guest authors to submit articles with at least 1000 words or more.

I think we’re going to see more blogs that include long-form content and include them in their strategies for content. Thus, companies that have found no SEO traction in short articles could want to “go a long way” and add more comprehensive articles, rich with information and insight, both to attract readers and to give Google a more favorable reason to classify them.

3. Acceleration of personalized marketing

The pressure is stronger, as more companies dig into their data and use it to develop customized marketing campaigns that target the interests of people at different points in their purchaser journey.

Customers expect brands to customize special offers and discounts for their wishes and requirements. More enterprises need to think about targeted social media advertising and re-targeting campaigns in order to meet that expectation.

As the demand for individualized content increases, I expect that social platforms will continue to refine their targeting offers.

4. Promotion of video as the preferred content form

Live streaming continues to be a powerful way for people to participate in social media. Two thirds of all internet traffic in 2017 were streaming video, according to statistics compiled by Go-Globe. By 2020, video content is estimated to be 82% of internet traffic.

I see the prominence of the video closely linked with the first trend I mentioned–the influence of personal branding on the brand. Video enables an enterprise to face the company. It allows prospects and clients to know who is leading and operating in a company. Video provides companies with a chance not only to show what they are doing but also “who” they are.

5. “Pay to play” — the path to increased exposure

With the decreasing organic reach of business content, most businesses will need to invest in sponsored posts, boosted posts, and social media ads if they are to remain top of their minds.

Fortunately, publicity in the social media must not break the bank; a small sum of money can take a long way.

The only trend you can rely on year by year is for companies to change their approach to social media, to some extent, so that they can gain greater awareness and increase customer commitment.

The trend is that following them will not guarantee success — I advocate taking social media trends into account but evaluate them carefully and make sure you are always consistent with your brand and business efforts before leaping into your bandwagon before incorporating them in your marketing strategy.

Struggled? 5 Simple ways of avoiding burnout

Most modern success stories read like Greek myth adaptations. Our role models are remarkable demigods such as Oprah, Tony Robbins and Beyoncé— we admire them and study them with awe, aim high and take our own leaps as they lead the way. The hero is the entrepreneur or career rock star, on a journey built from accomplishing half a dozen incredible feats and still fitting before dinner in Pilates. Such achievements are our new currency and our symbols of status.

While we strive to be our happiest and healthiest, financial success is also achieved through long hours and hard work. As we reach our “best life,” we aim to balance work – life and feel bad when we don’t feel we’ve achieved it.

Roughly everyone is spread thin today, which can develop into stress – related burnout and eventually disease if left unchecked. But this way it doesn’t have to be. I found a remarkably easy way to avoid falling into the burnout trap:

1. Don’t be busy with business mistakes.

Look at your workload and use this simple question for each item on your task list: “Will the effects of this task have a positive, lasting impact on my life and business life?” If the answer is no, it probably won’t be worth it.

2. There’s no self – made thing — so get good when you ask for help.

Use this simple formula to send requests to others: identify who can help you, ask them if you can send them a request, make the specific request as long as it takes, and thank them profusely for helping you. Ask them who they think will if they don’t help. Your success is directly commensurate with your ability to seek help.

3. Keep Sunday sacred.

There’s a reason why world religions have a sacred rest day — it’s necessary to maintain emotional well-being and health. The Buddhists have a simple practice called “Circle Day” when, in the middle of the week, they take a full day off and use it to rest, meditate, create art, and care for themselves. And it works; I return to my work with new insight, boosted creativity and a renewed sense of curiosity when I take time to do nothing.

4. Pay attention to your adrenals.

Stress taps our adrenal glands and causes exhaustion in our bodies, and by drinking more caffeine we often cover it up. My energy increased exponentially when I started taking Standard Process Drenamin supplements. You can also take supplements from Holy Basil or drink Holy Basil tea to help the body stop producing cortisol— the stress hormone that ages and exhausts us. I do both now, and my focus, clarity, and ability to achieve great goals has grown beyond anything I ever thought possible.

5. Meditate (so you don’t have to medicate).

Many of the most successful people in the world are doing it. Start by setting your five – minute digital timer. Then sit comfortably and deeply inhale for a five count through your nose and exhale for another five counts. Repeat this again and again until beeping the timer. You can increase as much as you can.

Spreading ourselves thin is a tendency most of us have in our quest to succeed, but it’s not a lifestyle we can’t counterbalance with some simple, healthy habits. So here’s to your balance and your success on your own hero’s journey—and may it be burnout free!

10 Tips to Achieve Anything You Want in Life

1. Focus on commitment, not motivation.

How committed to your goal are you? How important is it for you, and what are you willing to sacrifice to achieve it? If you find yourself fully committed, there will be motivation.

• Here’s how to focus on commitment.

2. Seek knowledge, not results.

Focusing on the excitement of discovery, improvement, exploration, and experimentation will always fuel your motivation. If you focus solely on results, your motivation will be like the weather, the minute you hit a storm it will die. Focusing on the journey is the key, not the destination. Continue to think about what you are learning along the way and what you can improve.

• Here’s how to seek knowledge.

3. Make the journey fun.

It’s a great game! The minute you make it serious, there’s a big chance it’s going to start carrying a heavy emotional weight and you’re going to lose perspective and get stuck again.

• Here’s how to get rid of stagnating thoughts.

4. Get rid of stagnating thoughts.

Thoughts influence feelings and feelings to determine how you view your work. You have a lot of thoughts in your head, and you always have a choice of which ones to focus on: those that will make you emotionally stuck (fears, doubts) or those that will move you forward (excitement, experimenting, trying new things, stepping out of your comfort zone).

• Here’s how to get rid of stagnating thoughts.

5. Use your imagination.

After getting rid of negative thoughts, the next step is to use your imagination. You are full of positive energy when things go well, and you need to be even more energetic when you are experiencing difficulties. Rename your situation. If you keep repeating I hate my work, what feelings will those words evoke? It’s an imagination matter! At the most boring job, you can always find something to learn from even the worst boss in the world. I have a great exercise for you: think and say only positive things for three days. See what’s going on.

• Here’s how to use your imagination.

6. Stop being nice to yourself.

Motivation means action and results are achieved through action. Your actions sometimes fail to deliver the results you want. So you’d rather be nice to yourself and not be in a difficult situation. You are waiting for the perfect timing, a chance, while you are driving into stagnation and sometimes even depression. Get out there, challenge yourself, even if you’re afraid, do something you want to do.

• Here’s how to stop being nice to yourself.

7. Get rid of distractions.

There will always be meaningless things and distractions in your way, especially those simple, usual things you prefer to do instead of focusing on new challenging and meaningful projects. Learn to focus on the most important thing. Write a list of time-wasters and be responsible for not doing them.

• Here’s how to get rid of distractions.

8. Don’t rely on others.

You should never expect others, not even your partner, friend or boss, to do it for you. All of them are busy with their own needs. No one is going to make you happy or attain your goals. Everything’s on you.

• Here’s how to not rely on others.

9. Plan.

Know the three steps you have taken. You don’t have to have more. Complete your weekly calendar, and note when and how you are going to do what. It’s important to plan when – what – how. Review how you learned every day and review what you could do to improve.

• Here’s how to plan.

10. Protect yourself from burnout.

When you’re very motivated, it’s easy to burn out. Watch to recognize any signs of fatigue and take time to rest. When you schedule relaxation and fun time in your weekly calendar, your body and mind will rest. Do a variety of tasks, keep switching between creative and logical things, physical and still things, working alone and with a team. Places to switch. Meditate, or just breathe deeply, close your eyes, or focus for five minutes on one thing.

• Here’s how to protect yourself from burnout.

Not because you’re lazy or you don’t have a goal, you lack motivation. Sometimes even the biggest stars, the richest entrepreneurs or the most accomplished athletes get lost. The curiosity about how much better or faster they can get is what makes them motivated. So be curious first and foremost, and that will lead you to your goals and success.

Top 10 Hidden Secrets of a Millionaire Mindset

Banner, Header, Business, Homepage

We see many key differences when we look at the behaviors and attitudes of those financially successful and those who fight to build fortune.

However, there is a psychological characteristic that is shared by the rich and the poor. That’s what the self-serving partiality is called.

The self-serving distortion is any perceptive distortion that an individual has so that he can see himself in a positive light. That’s what we often see when we look at people who come from riches and seem to blindly attribute their success to their talents –some call it the silver spoon effect. It is incredibly frustrating to see these people show no signs of humility for those of us who don’t have such an excitement in life.

This self-serving prejudice goes in both directions. Most people looking at other people’s lives under-estimate their success and overestimate the value of talent, work ethics and thinking. We tend to consider other people’s failings as character defects rather than bad luck.

So what are we able to learn from that?

Well, while luck is a factor, it’s completely out of our control, so the only area we should focus on is our thinking. It can make us much more likely to earn this kind of money if we can take a millionaire attitude.

Well-off people are often going to tell you: everything is about mindset. And the truth is, yes, most of it is mentality.

Light Bulb, Current, Light, Glow

So here is a millionaire’s 10 hidden secrets …

1.Millionaires trust their unconscious minds.

The mind is erratic and untrustworthy. It changes its position on things constantly, raised objections and doubts which prevent clear and concise decision-making. The millionaire attitude requires us to rely on more than what we feel at the present time, something that goes beyond our fears and concerns. Others may say that they have faith in their unconscious minds to lead them in the right direction at the right time.

2. Millionaires start with absolute clarity.

One thing is to know what you want and another is to know what you want in the smallest detail. Millionaires often have very clear goals and plans to follow up until they reach their destination. We see the same thinking frequently in hyper-successful athletes who speak for years about their success visualizing it. You must define exactly what you want and know the experience intimately before it enters into existence if you want to have an idea of growth and abundance.

3. Millionaires know their greatest asset is attention.

The average person is wasteful of time each day for hours and hours. Social media, TV, video games on phone, smoking cigarettes, and a list of things continues. The millionaire knows their attention is precious and does not waste it on activities that offer nothing. All they do is concentrated on their goal.

4. Millionaires never lose sight of their target.

It is important that you always keep your goal ahead of you in order not to waste any attention on trivial pursuits. One way to do this is to create a life in which people with similar goals are around you. You can also ensure that you celebrate the small wins constantly so you know exactly what you do.

5. Millionaires distort their money relationship.

This is what the millionaire mindset is most unusual. Most people never consider themselves to be unconscious about their inability to make money. We have had conditions for believing in the Hollywood version of the wealthy villain, so we believe that wealth gain means acting in a way which puts our moral integrity in question. You can make money and still help people, whether you’re a good person doesn’t relate to your bank account. Make sure you don’t have a conflicting money relationship and don’t have any moral doubts.

6. Millionaires decide on things that have meaning in their lives.

You must decide that money is a precious asset for your life. You’ll never focus to pull up and go hunting for wealth–there are simply too many opinions when you listen to what everyone else says you care. You will be driven to success by your mind if you decide what is in your life and do not follow the herd.

7. Millionaires give better than they take.

It can be counter intuitive, but the millionaire attitude is more than necessary. You must be social in order to gain wealth and be successful in your relationships. Look always for something else, and you’re going to find something in return.

8. Millionaires are aware of their drive.

People may make a lot of money if their emotions are negative; anger, greed, insecurity. But that never will bring you the accomplishment you expect. If you are driven by a need to serve others, then money brings a sense of satisfaction. Know you’ve got the right motivations to get rich.

Money, Fund, Loan, Gift, Cash, Financial

9. Millionaires do not so personally take stuff.

Another aspect of millionaire thinking is that they do not personally take things. It’s hard to remain grounded and coherent in our actions when we look at our ups and downs as reflections of our self-worth. The wealthy see failure as a chance for growth. There are thousands of factors that control their achievements and failures. Take all the lessons you come to, not celebrate too long victories or ruminate about defaults.

10. Millionaires are risk-takers.

Everyone knows this, but how often do we see it in our own lives? You have to take risks if you want to succeed. It’s no other way around. If you want to be rewarded, you have to take chances. Consider that we will not be so scared of taking risks if we are able to take our failings as opportunities for growth!

Start, Stairs, Start Up, Success

Conclusion

These ten hidden secrets show you the psychology of people who can generate great wealth. While this framework is not going to be adopted overnight, constant reflection results in changes in beliefs that cause changes in behavior. The creation of wealth is closer than you believe, requires knowledge, bravery and diligence.

Do These 5 Things to (Actually) Stick to Your Goals

You made New Year’s resolutions at the beginning of the year to stop smoking, lose weight, exercise more, think positively? And then remember how easy it was about six days later to slide back into old patterns?

Why are your goals so hard to stick to? Because there’s a big change. It’s frightening.

But with the same resolution you don’t want to hit next January. What a boring thing. How tedious it was. How the year before!

So what are you going to do? For a start, place one foot in front of the other. You got ta lose weight? Go to the fitness center. Must you think positively? Give each day a mirror mantra. You have to stop smoking? Buy a nicotine gum for yourself.

Change begins in a small way. I’m not expecting you to be free of smoke by tomorrow’s end. Nor do I think Thursday you’re going to drop those stubborn 10 pounds. It took me a long time to lose the 50 pounds that I’ve been carrying for years. What I expect you to accomplish your goals every day— whatever they may be.

Here are a few small steps to help you achieve your dose of change every day — to actually meet your goals:

1. Devote your change for at least 15 minutes a day.

Even if it’s just a walk around your neighborhood, do it, read an inspiring article, one less cigarette. Also mix it up. No one wants some tedious workout regime to be stuck. It makes it look so much more miserable, isn’t it? So pick up the paddle ball set, tennis rackets or the Frisbee and go and spend time with your family or friends.

2. Fork over the truth.

Until I decided to be honest about why I was reaching for chips rather than taking healthy risks with myself, I thought it was all about food. In reality, for stuffing food down my face, I got a huge payoff — I got to play it safe. What’s your non-changeable payoff? You will never be able to stick to your plan until you can become real. Modification of behavior teaches us to repeat behaviors that make us feel good. What that means to you is that until the goal gets bigger than the payoff, you will always choose to feel good about feeling uncomfortable.

3. Set realistic goals.

Instead of focusing on losing 20 pounds in 20 days, my goal was just to start eating 5 fruits and vegetables a day. I really believe that good choices lead to better choices (alas, it works the other way too!), and my goal was simply to honor the five-day plan. I didn’t expect a miracle or a transformation of my body overnight. Rather, before adding anything else to my plate, I spent months developing this new behavior pattern; in other words, one behavior at a time.

4. Never eliminate. Replace.

I want to popcorn when I go to the movies. My husband selects only the heavily buttered and salted kind, so I sneak in my Jolly Time 94 percent Fat Free buttered popcorn (hey, I would buy it if they sold it!). If I just tried to eliminate eating popcorn in the movies while munching with sheer delight next to me, I would probably find my hand covered with grease before the previews had finished. If your goal is to eliminate a specific behavior, if you want permanent change, it must be replaced with a new behavior. If we don’t replace a behavior, we end up creating a large void that leads to obsessive thinking, eventually leading to falling back into old patterns.

5. Find support.

Very few people can get on their own where they’re going. Throughout our change journey, we all need encouragement and support. Perhaps it’s a friend for you to hold you accountable or a group that’s like-minded where they want to go. There is power in numbers, and to our advantage we can use this. Although over the course of a year I had embraced many healthy eating habits, I felt I needed some additional encouragement to continue.

It’s not easy to change. But it’s something you can achieve as long as you don’t seek the quick fix, but are willing to make daily choices that will bring you lasting results. You’re going to have setbacks a few days, but that doesn’t mean it’s time to throw in the towel. It’s just a chance to commit yourself to your goal. Have fun with that!

10 Convenient ways of improving yourself

Are you constantly trying to improve and improve yourself? If you do, we’ve got something in common.

Personal growth I’m very passionate about. It was only four years ago that I discovered my passion to grow and help others grow. I was 22 at that time and in my last university year. I realized that there was nothing more meaningful than pursuing a life of development and improvement as I thought about the meaning of life. We get the most out of life by improving ourselves.

The more I grow, the more I realize I don’t know so much out there that I must learn.

Whenever we feel good we can be better still.

I constantly seek ways of improving myself as a passionate advocate for growth. I have compiled 42 of my best tips that could be useful on your journey of personal growth. Some of these are easy steps you can take straight away. Some are major steps that are made to act consciously. They’re here: Choose a new hobby.

1.Choose a new hobby.

man standing carrying surfboard near seashore during daytime

In addition to your usual favorite hobbies, are you able to pick up something new? You can learn any new sport?

Fencing, golf, climbing, football, canoeing or ice skating, among other things.

You can also make your new hobby a leisure hobby. For example pottery, Italian cuisine, dance, wine appreciation, web design, etc.

You can teach something new, physically, mentally or emotionally in different respects. Take a new direction.

2. Take a new direction.

clear glass terrariums

Are you able to join any new course? Courses are an excellent way to gain new skills and knowledge.

There is no need for long – term training – seminars or workshops are also intended.

I was in a few workshops and they helped me get new insights that I hadn’t thought about before.

3. Make a room that is inspiring.

brown wooden table near painting mounted on wall

The mood and the tone set for you in your environment. You’ll be inspired every day if you live in an inspiring environment.

I did n’t like my room in the past, because I thought it was chaotic and stupid. I decided that this was the end a few years ago. I started a project “Mega Room Revamp” and redeveloped my room.

The final outcome? A room in which I am totally happy and inspire me every day to be at my height.

4. Take your fears over.

man climbing wall with harness

We’re all afraid. Fear of uncertainty, fear of public speech, fear of risk… all of our fears keep us uniform and prevent our growth.

Recognize that the areas you can grow in reflect your fear. I always consider fears to be the growth compass.

If I’m afraid of something, it is something I still have to deal with, and addressing it helps me to develop.

5. Have a practice routine on a weekly basis.

woman stretching legs and arms on black yoga mat

Better you start to be physically better. I myself make the point of jogging at least three times a week, each time at least 30 minutes.

You may want to blend it with jogging, fitness lessons and variety swimming.

6.Write your future person a letter.

person holding ballpoint pen writing on notebook

What do you think 5 years later? Are you going to be identical? Other? Other? What type of person are you going to be?

Write a letter for your future–it will be a good start for 1 year from now–and seal it.

Make a date of 1 year from now on in your calendar. Then begin to work to the person you want the letter to open.

7. Put a challenge to somebody.

two women crawling on mud with rope

Concurrence is one of the best ways to increase. Set yourself a challenge (weight loss, practice, financial challenges, etc.) and rival a interested friend to see who reaches the goal first.

During the process, you will both gain more than you would if you set goals on your own.

8.Request feedback.

We will always have blind spots as much as we try to improve. Requesting feedback gives us a further prospect.

Certain people will be friends, relatives, colleagues, boss and even families because they have no preset prejudice and can objectively provide their feedback.

9.Recognize your shortcomings.

eyeglasses with gray frames on the top of notebook

It’s all flaws. The main thing is to understand, recognize and address them. What are your flaws, do you think?

What are the shortcomings on which you now can work? How would you like to deal with them?

10. Engage in your personal development.

man standing near cliff looking at body of water during daytime

I can write list articles 10 ways, 25 ways, 42 ways, or even 1,000 ways to get better, but it doesn’t matter what I write if you don’t want to commit to your personal growth.

It’s not going to get through anything. For our personal growth, we are responsible— nobody else. Your dad, me or Lifehack, not your mother or friend.

Decide on your personal growth and embrace a lifetime journey of growth and change. Start your growth by selecting and working on some of the steps above.

The results might not be immediate, but I promise you that you will see positive changes in yourself and in your lives as long as you do this.

In 2019, focus on self – care to do better with your money

silhouette on man on mountain

Modern life is full of stressors and money is the most popular. But financial discipline is actually harder due to stress. This could lead to a cycle in which stress increases the likelihood of poor money choices and those mistakes increase stress.

This emphasizes the importance of financial health self – care. The use of self – care ideas can reduce stress and enhance well – being.

These are some ideas of self – care which will improve your mental, emotional, physical and financial health.

Ideas for improving financial discipline

1. Have a self – care budget
Money is a resource and can occasionally be used to trade for other resources, such as time or energy, which you lack. Make some room for self – care in your budget. Use this fund to nurture and care for yourself as a guilt – free way.

You can treat yourself to even a small amount of cheap fun. If you can afford it, you may want to invest more in the development of skills with cooking classes. Or you can take a pet poop scooper to offload your chore.

2. Financial decisions are carefully taken
People who are typically stressed “lack of clarity about what they are doing for themselves financially versus a decision to relieve stress,” Chastain says. It’s like the advice that food shops shouldn’t have hunger.

Before you sit back to work on finances, take a look at yourself. Check that you are physically fed, hydrated, and rested well.Ensure that you feel good emotions — trustful, empowered and encouraged. 7. Investing in professional assistance

Mental health problems can play a major role in some people’s well – being and finances. There really is really no substitute for professional help if you struggle with mood or mental disorders from depression to ADHD.

Bahar says you can help build “a short- and long – term strategy step – by – step,” build and implement the self – care plan with a therapist. It also gives you safe place to work through “the feelings including anger, fear, and shame.” And you can get evaluated for any medications or other therapies.

You can improve your well – being and lower stress by implementing self – care ideas. And it’s likely to pay off soon enough. “People who are calm and in charge of their life ultimately make smarter choices with their money,” As per Chastain.

Why are small companies benefiting from social media marketing?

You constantly seek new ways to get the brand of your company onto the the roster of potential customers. If you don’t, it’s a great way to engage and attract new customers using social media in business. In fact, small social media marketing strategies have an advantage compared to large companies. Why does it happen?

The effectiveness of social media leads to participation. If a company doesn’t engage in social media marketing, it will probably not succeed. Interacting in social media with consumers is a key marketing strategy for  small enterprises.

The use of social media helps you to increase awareness of your brand and client base, as well as to connect with existing clients. In fact, one study showed that over 90 percent of marketers say that their businesses care about social media. 82 percent of participants in the survey worked in companies with less than 100 employees.

Small business owners can easily market through social media as long as you post actively on social media pages. Some of the common social media websites are Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Set a schedule to contact your followers regularly in order to make effective use of social media for your company.

Advantages of social media marketing for small companies

The success of social media does not depend on the number of people a company has. Rather, it relies on the commitment of customers. These are several reasons why small enterprises can have more social media success than big enterprises:

1. Small companies are community focused and individual

There are several differences, such as the legal structure, the number of  employees and revenues, between small and big companies. But companies nitty-gritty aspects are not the only differences between large and small ones.

Small companies tend to focus more on communities and individuals. Many small businesses decide to participate heavily in their communities, which leads to customer connections. It also benefits from connecting and sometimes partnering with other local businesses in the chamber of trade within their community.

Small companies can connect with their customers online when using social media. Small companies are more likely than larger companies to respond to their customers. As a small company, you can deal easily with the flow of customer comments, to ensure that you respond quickly.

For people to talk about products or services, social media is a great way. To increase customer participation, customers must post photos with the product of the company on social media. And welcome consumer reviews, questions, comments and concerns. You can easily build connections with people on social media, as a small business owner. Current and potential clients will have greater respect and appreciation for a company that responds promptly.

2. Low-cost advertising

While you can pay for certain advertising functions, such as on Facebook, social media is free of charge. You can target these ads to reach people within a certain range of your company. This means you will not end up paying out of your local customer base for publicity. Set a budget and choose your audience to start advertising on Facebook. Instead of spending thousands of dollars on social media marketing across the country, small enterprises have only to concentrate on their location. Social media is an excellent publicity tool without any additional characteristics. You can update your supporters on offers, sales, new products or even information related to the industry. Photos will also help clients see what they are offering.

You advertise to your existing customers through social media. However, by getting your brand out, you can also advertise potential customers. Your current customers are also great brand ambassadors. Small corporate owners usually know their customers themselves and share their social media experiences more naturally. Current customers can post on your products or services, raise their brand’s radars and attract new people to your business.

3. Joint Marketing in Social Media

Many small companies can work together on strategies for social media marketing. As a small business owner, you may work in your niche with neighboring small companies (not competitors).

You can post on your twitter, for instance, that if customers buy you and vice versa, they can get a discount coupon from another small business. Or, join in a social media gift or contest with a neighboring company. Winners may receive a prize which covers both companies ‘ products. On the websites of your social media, you can even showcase promotions for your neighboring business. You can build brand awareness together with other small businesses. You can take the radar of prospective customers and encourage people to purchase from both companies.

4. Personalized Care

Everything is about personalization for small companies. Some of them have a good shopping experience for small companies. A survey found that 53 percent of consumers want to go shopping in small enterprises because they want personalized service.

You can take the time to connect with individuals when customers are at the company. You can tell where your products originate, how long you have been in your business and how inspired you to start your business.

Individual attention is not only applied to consumers who are in your company. Small companies in social media can give customers more than scripted answers.

A large company selling all over the country has no time to give each customer a personalized response. On the other hand, a small company can write a real response to the situation of the customer directly. Small businesses have the benefit of social media marketing through this direct connection between consumers and brands.

5. Small companies can piggyback big ads

Some large companies organize events that small businesses can use in their marketing strategies for social media.

In the Philippines, for instance, Bazaars are all year round. Since consumers recognize that event, it is easier for small enterprises to take advantage of social media. Big companies could spend huge sums of cash on advertising, while small companies can benefit by posting that your company will participate.

3 Internal Motivations You Need to Achieve Everything You’ve Ever Wanted

3 Types of Internal Motivation to Achieve Everything You’ve Ever Wanted

Have you ever wanted something so bad, but could never achieve it? Many times, it boils down to motivation. So if want to learn how to motivate yourself so you can begin achieving your goals and being a better you, keep on reading.

Internal motivation, or intrinsic motivation, is the driving force behind your thoughts and choices regarding your career, hobbies, relationships, and other activities. It doesn’t concern itself with outside influences or external factors. Instead, internal motivation is centered on your personal desires and needs. If you’re looking for an effective way to stay motivated and create lasting change, then consider changing your focus. Try looking within.
Internal motivation occurs when you act upon your impulses without the need for external rewards, such as money or recognition. These actions are, instead, inspired by happiness, exploration, or knowledge. It could be a hobby, like gardening, or it could be a fulfilling career, such as teaching.
When you pursue an activity for the sheer joy of it, you’re doing so because you’re intrinsically motivated. You engage in the activity simply because you choose to. It means something to you. And that, in itself, can be its own reward.
Below are the 3 different types of internal motivation you can start using today:

1. The Desire to Win

In every competition, whether it is E-sports, The Olympics, Business competition, Sports, or even War, in order to be successful, every contender must exhibit the desire to win. It is this desire to win that must be translated into determination and performance. This determination to win would translate into perseverance and hard work, which is why many players devote time, effort, and even money to achieve such a goal of winning. People often say winning isn’t everything, but when it comes to competition and sportsmanship winning is everything! Without the desire to win to some degree, it’s near impossible for one to achieve the highest “medal” attainable, assuming that the competition is fierce. It is the desire to win, that allows competitors to beat all odds and overcome obstacles despite the temporary defeat. This desire to win often inspires and initiates perseverance through adversity in any competition. This desire to win, the true spirit of competition, is what one needs in any competition.
In a competitive environment, a person’s needs to have the desire to win by being attuned to the competition around them. Being aware of the surrounding competition helps to amplify one’s desire to win! One could say that the fierceness of the competition often directly impacts how much one really wants to win, which could push them to new heights in progression! This awareness of the competition around oneself would allow one to grow their desire of winning and thus allow one to set realistic goals towards the ultimate goal of winning a competition. One must also account for whether or not they want to win in the long-term or short-term. In order for one to win when the competition is fierce, one must exhibit a desire to win greater than that of other competitors. Whoever wants to win the most, WILL win! Willpower is such a strong force when it comes to winning.

The desire to win goes hand-in-hand with willpower. Willpower is the desire to overcome adversity and beat all obstacles. Willpower inspires perseverance and initiates progression in a competitor’s skill which can be emphasized through a competitor’s willingness to go through intense training so that one day he or she may bring home the “gold medal.” And striving to bring home the gold is a physical embodiment of the desire to win. In a fierce and real competition, players play mainly to WIN, not just for amusement. It is by having a strong desire to win that players can use willpower to focus heavily on the main objective of the game and work on constantly perfecting a skill, reaction time, and even mental stamina. The desire to win is a powerful driving force is applied in a healthy and purposeful way, thus driving healthy competition in the process.

“The starting point of all achievement is desire.” – Napoleon Hill

2. Purpose

Motivation itself is not an emotion but it is the purpose of all emotions, meaning that all emotions serve to motivate us to perform some kind of action. All emotions give us energy so that we can act and the willingness to act is motivation.
Behind every action, there is a motive

And behind every motive is a need. Needs are the essential triggers of motivation. Whether it be a physiological need; like the need to have food (hunger) or a social need; like the need to be accepted, a need is what induces motivation in us and drives most of our behavior. You can’t have motivation without a need and you can’t have action without motivation.

We all have needs, no doubt about that, but we all don’t have the same level of motivation to fulfill those needs. Those who do have some amount of motivation may not be motivated enough to take actions to fulfill their needs. These are types of people that usually seek motivation. They’re trying to increase their motivation level so that it reaches a threshold where they’re forced to act.
Unfortunately, many motivation-seekers keep looking for motivation forever without understanding that the sole purpose of motivation is action. Their efforts at increasing their motivation are nullified if they forget the most important part- action.

Then there are others who are highly motivated but don’t just stay that way but rather utilize their motivational energy to take powerful actions. They are the ones who succeed in fulfilling their needs and desires.

3. Mastery

This type of motivation – to become competent in one’s environment – is known as mastery motivation. While mastery motivation is shaped by experience, the desire to become competent and to continue to learn remains an important influence for many individuals.
At its core, Mastery is a simple process accessible to all of us. But before you start down the path, you need to bring two traits to the table: the relentless ability to focus deeply on a subject and a strong desire to learn.
The reason mastery of a specific craft or multiple skills is so important is because once again, it’s never ending. There isn’t a point in your journey where you can completely master something because there’s always another level to reach. With all of the internal motivators especially mastery, it becomes difficult for other people around you to understand why you work so hard. Nonetheless, being motivated this way typically means the person has no real love for what they do because if they did love what they do, the real satisfaction would come from some internal driver like winning, getting better at their craft or working on towards their purpose every single day.

“If you want to learn something, read about it. If you want to understand something, write about it. If you want to master something, teach it.” – Yogi Bhajan

Once you change not only your level of desire but also the kind of desire, you completely change the game of success for yourself because now you’re in a position where you actually want to work hard. You don’t have to feel like working hard or getting up early is a chore and I guarantee once you start to find powerful internal motivators, you’ll be surprised how much and how hard you want to work towards achieving your goals.

Guts, Resilience, Initiative, Tenacity (GRIT) VS Intelligence Quotient (IQ)

Why Grit Is More Important Than IQ When You’re Trying To Become Successful

What’s the best predictor of success? IQ, talent, luck?

Nope. It’s ‘grit,’ more than anything else.

It is the ability to persist in something you feel passionate about and persevere when you face obstacles. This kind of passion is not about intense emotions or infatuation. It’s about having direction and commitment. When you have this kind of passion, you can stay committed to a task that may be difficult or boring.

Grit is also about perseverance. To persevere means to stick with it; to continue working hard even after experiencing difficulty or failure.

Research indicates that the ability to be gritty—to stick with things that are important to you and bounce back from failure—is an essential component of success independent of and beyond what talent and intelligence contribute.

Grit is important because it is a driver of achievement and success, independent of and beyond what talent and intelligence contribute. Being naturally smart and talented are great, but to truly do well and thrive, we need the ability to persevere. Without grit, talent may be nothing more than unmet potential. It is only with effort that talent becomes a skill that leads to success. Without grit, talent may be nothing more than unmet potential. So how can you measure grit? One way was a “deceptively simple” test called a Grit Scale, which asks how much you self-identify with statements such as “I am a hard worker” to “New ideas and projects sometimes distract me from previous ones.”

Beyond IQ, talent, and whatever else has any kind of effect on anything, what most affects your ability to achieve your goals is grit. Grit is a combination of passion and perseverance, a belief that failure can be overcome. It’s a willingness to conquer challenges, instead of avoiding them.

The only person that can really push you a little bit further in life is yourself.

Grit is both a trait and a skill. Grit is that mix of passion, perseverance, and self-discipline that keeps us moving forward in spite of obstacles. Grit says, “I’ve got this.”

You can develop your capacity for grit. Your response to a challenging situation is more important the obstacle you face. Ryan Holiday says “obstacle is the way”. And you need grit to push through the obstacle every time you face a challenge.

Dr. Angela Duckworth, author of Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseveranceis the best-known researcher of grit, and she defines Grit as: “working strenuously toward challenges, maintaining effort and interest over years despite failures, adversity, and plateaus in progress.”

Tenacity matters so greatly because, as she explains, “effort counts twice.”

The emerging science of grit is teaching us a lot about why some people redouble their efforts when the rest of us are heading for the door. The ability to stick with and pursue a goal over a long period is an important indicator of achieving anything worthwhile in life. Grit is a better indicator of success than talent. No matter how talented you think you are, if you don’t put in the work, it will amount to nothing.

Grit begins with a growth mindset. If you strongly believe in the science of human growth in mindset, you have a greater chance of cultivating your grit over time. That belief alone can give you the perspective you need to stick with something even when the process is difficult. What can you do in small ways every day that would make it easy to take the necessary steps to pursue your life-long goals? Perseverance and resilience have a lot to do with success than you think.

Grit is essential for your success in life, but it is not attractive. Grit requires sacrifice: embrace the challenge! It’s going to get hard, right? It’s going to be difficult and you are going to want to give up. And some people, a lot of people, will. The act of becoming a master at your craft takes a lot of purposeful practice. You will experience messy frustration. Motivation will ebb and flow, but you can only improve when you commit to constant practice. You will make tons and tons of mistakes in the process. Making mistakes and failing is normal — in fact, they’re necessary.

Embrace the long repetitive process to get better. Grit takes time, and many people aren’t giving it. The cost of being the best and pushing towards meaningful work takes a lot of sacrifices. Many people are not ready for that. But the whole point here is that the positive mindset needed to get to the long-term goal can be developed over time. You can maintain the effort and interest need to finish hard. Sometimes you have to let go of something good to grasp something great. The tendency not to abandon tasks in the face of obstacles builds the resilience you need to succeed in life.

So always remember: Be proud of your work. And never quit trying.

Cultivate your grit and push yourself further outside your comfort bubble. And remember what Ryan Holiday said, “The obstacle is the way”.

How to Make Smarter Decisions for your Business

Tips to Make Better Decisions for Your Business

three persons in front of table

Inside your business, there are three levels of decision-making.

The problem is, most entrepreneurs are unaware of this, so they simply make whatever decision they think is best. In the beginning, this is fine, because you build initial success and momentum through trial and error.

It helps to be the entrepreneur who breaks things and innovates, but as you scale your business from six to seven figures, you need to evolve from an entrepreneur into a CEO. You need to own your business so it no longer owns you, which requires a different level of thinking.

Within your business there are three types:

  • Reactive decision-making- Every entrepreneur begins here. You wake up each morning and feel like a firefighter putting out one flame after another. You have no idea where the next one will spring up, but you know it will at some point. You react to everything around you, meaning you spend little time on the decisions you make. You never feel like you have enough time, and it’s hard to feel like you’re on top. Worse, you use a lot of your energy doing this, which means you have less of it to reserve for the things that matter within your business. So long as you base your decision-making on reactive thinking, you have a hustle, not a business.
  • Proactive decision-making- Depending on your business and initial success, you can move into proactive decision-making rather quickly. This is the stage where you think 90 days in advance. You no longer wake up each day putting out fires; instead, you wake up knowing what to do and when to do it. Entering the proactive decision-making stage is an important period for an entrepreneur because you now have enough time and energy to plan for the future. You begin to understand your cash flow, where you will be 90 days from now, and the general plan and process to get you from A to B. As an entrepreneur it’s vital you get to this level of thinking as soon as possible, because in this stage you can see what’s coming at you before it reaches you. This allows you to proactively deal with obstacles and stop mistakes from spiraling out of control.
  • Strategic decision-making- The truth is, few entrepreneurs get to this stage, and it can take those that do years to think at a strategic level on a daily basis. This is the promised land. Those who base their decision-making around strategic thinking are the ones who own the most impactful businesses, and those who enjoy true happiness, abundance, and freedom. What drives this growth is your mindset, and you can make huge strides today by simply thinking about all this. Be aware of where you are, and commit to this idea of becoming a strategic thinker.

In the beginning, most entrepreneurs base their decision-making on reactive thinking. You move at a fast pace, so it’s near impossible to strategize and come up with a plan.

Your aim is to elevate through these three levels until you base the majority of your decisions on strategic thinking.

What is Risk?

A probability or threat of damage, injury, liability, loss, or any other negative occurrence that is caused by external or internal vulnerabilities, and that may be avoided through preemptive action.

Most decisions require information not only about risk but about other things as well. This additional information can include such things as cost, schedule requirements, and public perception. In risk-based decision making, all of the identifiable factors that affect a decision must be considered. The factors may have different levels of importance in the final decision. Therefore, an orderly decision analysis structure that considers more than just risk is necessary to give decision-makers the information needed to make smart choices.

To fully understand your business risk, every business needs to focus on three things, which will vary based on your business model and customer base:

1. Measure the risk

2. Monitor the risk so you can react to it

3. Wherever possible, take actions to mitigate the risk

All three of these areas are important because no one of them is sufficient to run your small business. There are several resources available for business owners to help you evaluate and measure your business risk. There are also services to provide information on industry and customer sentiment. What’s more, there are advisors and tools at little or no cost through public agencies and universities to help you better understand and mitigate risk in your business.

Understanding Short-Term vs. Long-Term Risk Impacts:

Short-term is a concept that refers to holding an asset for a year or less, and accountants use the term “current” to refer to an asset expected to be converted into cash in the next year or a liability coming due in the next year. The accounting profession uses current assets and current liabilities to perform analysis, and in the investing industry, a security with a holding period of one year or less is a short-term security.
Generally, a timeframe for investing in which an asset is held for at least seven to ten years. The measure of a “long-term” time frame can vary depending on the asset held or the investment objective. In business accounting measures, long-term can be a period of time that exceeds 12 months.

Cyclical Businesses

A cyclical industry is a type of industry that is sensitive to the business cycle, such that revenues generally are higher in periods of economic prosperity and expansion and are lower in periods of economic downturn and contraction. Companies in cyclical industries can deal with this type of volatility by implementing employee layoffs and cuts to compensate during bad times and paying bonuses and hiring en masse in good times.

The business cycle is comprised of four discrete phases. During the expansionary phase, productivity grows, unemployment shrinks and stock markets tend to rise. Because more people are employed during this phase and their investment portfolios are growing, they have more discretionary income and are less reticent about spending it. The peak follows the expansionary phase. At this point, the economy has reached the end of an expansion and subsequently begins its contractionary phase.

One negative comment, review or feedback can change your whole company’s graphs. Always wait for your customers to finish what they are trying to say. Listen and address detail by detail of their concerns. Show them that you care. Show them that you are also human and not a company who never cares at all.

You might be one of the managers, engineers, architects or even the CEO of your company and mastered technical details, names, and phrases but you should deliver this words in a way your customer will understand it. If you sound so wise or technical your customers will never appreciate your efforts. You should level your understanding with your customers. You don’t want to confuse your customers as well. If you fail to let your customer understand what your product or policy is, then this will be another expense for your company and will cost you a bad reputation, negative feedback, comments, and reviews.
